One Million Karoqs Later, Škoda Blacks Out Its Best-Seller

A new range-topping Black Edition marks one million Karoqs built worldwide, with pricing starting at £39,160 ahead of an October order opening.

Škoda has introduced the Karoq Black Edition as the SUV reaches one million units produced worldwide. The Czech automaker is set to open orders on 1 October, with first deliveries expected to take place before 2026 draws to a close.

It is based on the range-topping SportLine Edition and comes with 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, roof rails, mirror caps and grille, as well as a rear diffuser and blacked-out ‘Škoda’ and ‘Karoq’ badging.

Cabin And Feature Upgrades

The Black Edition is provided with Sportline Suite leather sports seats, a panoramic glass roof and black headlining. A heated multifunction steering wheel, aluminum pedals and an LED interior-light package are also standard. Heated front and rear seats, three-zone climate control and a CANTON audio system also feature on the equipment list.

The standard specification also includes Matrix LED headlights with adaptive, cornering and poor-weather functions, a heated windscreen, Dynamic Chassis Control and progressive steering.

It Gets Multiple Powertrain Options

Škoda is offering the Karoq Black Edition with a 150 PS 1.5-liter TSI with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG, a 190 PS 2.0-liter TSI DSG 4x4, and a 150PS 2.0-litre TDI DSG 4x4.

The Karoq was launched in 2017. More than one million have now been produced worldwide, including more than 103,000 sold in the UK.
